I think to an extent that’s true. It’s hard to develop a strong bond with a community when you know in the back of your mind that it’s only temporary and that once you leave you’ll need to go through the process of reestablishing those connections. I find myself running into that, it’s difficult to really throw myself into Providence when I’m also hoping to leave in half a year.
We need to get together at some point and talk about how the physical construct of a community formulates it into what it is. I was talking today with someone from the Public Health Dept. and they were really into urban planning and the accessibility of community resources.
